As with most gadget users I wanted to try and keep my brand new ipod touch scratch free and looking like new and so I purchased a case. The ‘incase slider’ was promising at first, on the packaging it advertises the case as being ‘the ultimate in lightweight protection’, after a couple weeks of use I soon found this to be untrue.

Due to the nature of the design after repeated removal of the bottom half of the case to dock the ipod touch, scratches soon started to appear. The location of the scratches on the ipod is exactly where the detachable part can be removed. This is incredibly annoying and disappointing as the packaging even states that the design allows for easy docking.

The design of the case is appealing as it manages to keep the ipod touch’s unique clean curved outline. I was pleased with the ability to still use all the functions of the device while it was in the case.

Creating a case for protection that actually damages the device defeats the point of its use in the first place making it void for purpose. I think it is expensive at £29.95 for a product that doesn’t work the way it was described. I was thoroughly disappointed in this product and would never recommend the purchase of the ‘incase slider’ to protect the device to anyone.
